Multi Fuel Stove installation query

    Morning all,

We are looking at installing a free standing stove into an old, small fireplace in an apartment. The chimney is clear.

I'm assuming that the best method is run flue liner which is surrounded by vermiculite through the chimney? We will of course have to clear this with the management company, but has anyone experience of this type of exercise in an apartment setting?

Also, with regards to the room, our intention is to have the stove 'fully present' in the room (not half nestled into the old chimney, and we would then put in a solid piece in front of the chimney (I'm afraid I don't know the correct terminology) which would by flush with the wall.

The stove we were looking at was the Stanley Oisin one, which should work as the room isn't that large.

Can anyone help in providing estimates for the cost of installation and any advice as to things to look out for?

    Thank you.
