Onions bursting out of their skins

I planted some 'Troy' onions sets last October. Most are now starting to burst out of their brown skins while the tops are still green and have not fallen over. They seem to be still growing strongly. Should I pull them now or wait till the leaves turn and they fall over?

If they haven't bolted I would leave them to grow on. They may have dried out a bit earlier in the year and are now bulking up so the outer layers split open.
