Bit of a weird year for TV - shows were cancelled, seasons shortened and run later than usual. Still lots to consider though.

Time to vote on our favourites for the year.

The first group of categories are open for nominations:

    Best Soap Opera
    Best Drama
    Best Actor (Male)
    Best New Character
    Best Home Produced Show
    Most Overrated Show
    Most Improved Show
    Best New Show
Worst Actor/Actress in a Mainstream Show

These will be open until the weekend. Then they will be closed and the second (of 3 groups) will go up. Voting will start in a few weeks.

Good luck to your favourite shows.

FYI last year had a very poor turnout (only 21 people voted, compared to 91 at the peak in 2012).
Responses have been steadily dropping for the last few years.

If this year's turnout is poor, I might give it a break for a few years.

do we have to vote on all categories? I don't watch soaps, for example, but I have strong opinions in other areas

You're not voting yet, just nominating. The nominees with the most mentions will be put up for a final vote in a few weeks.

If you don't have an opinion on a category, just skip it. The soap fans will answer that thread.

Hopefully a better turn out this year

Going to pause this process until the site move has settled down.

I feel like nominations would suffer right now if I continued.

Let's revisit in a week or two.
