Mould forming on cedar panels in the garden and looking for some tips on best ways to treat it.

The panels are used on a bench and the mould seems to be forming on the horizontal panels which are exposed the most to water .

The panels were treated with a cedar oil at the time of installation and obviously it wasn't any good.

My plan would be to use a fungicidal wash and followed by reapply a good wood preserver like sikkens or osmo anything similar ?
