    Good morning.
I am hoping some of you knowledgeable gents can point me in the right direction on this.:)

I find myself in need of an engineer, who will at the very least answer my e mails.
Long storey short. I need a survey done on a small balcony of an apartment that has received very minor superficial scorching to decking boards due to a small fire that was quickly dealt with.
Purpose of this is to determine the load bearing capacity of the balcony for the glass replacement of a large pane, as requested by the glazing contractor

    Thats it:).

Probably best to do by pm, as we dont want a thread praising by one poster, and then denegrating the same by another. :)

You'd need to post a location as a starting point. People won't travel too far for a small job so you're looking for a local one.

True, an over sight on my part.

Its at the Navan road/Phoenix Park apartments. The balcony in question has all the steel clearly visible from below. So there is nothing to remove in order to inspect and size the steelwork.

I can post up a pic of the bottom of the balcony, if required,

    K.

Incidentally I dont mind covering travel costs ect, so long as the survey and question is answered
I would be very happy, as I need the repairs to proceed.:)
