Solenoid for turbo boost/vacuum control

Hello, small issue with my car, annoyance really. Solenoids in the picture shown, one of them is buzzing. I presume one actuates when engine is running, and the other when engine shuts off. Unsure which is which so some guidance would be appreciated. I switched them around and the buzzing sound is now while the engine is running and silent while the engine shuts off. Could anyone tell me which one is the one that actuates when engine is running as I'll only change that one now.

Both will actuate while the engine is running at some point, follow the lines there will be 3: vacuum feed, exhaust and the 3rd will go to whatever its powering (Turbo, egr, air doser etc)

There's two hoses coming out of these. One says "vac" the other says "out" I switched them around and got confused which was which and car wasn't driving great on boost. The shorter vacuum hose that looks to be coming out of the engine I have connected to the "out" pipe. And the other vacuum hose that goes back around the engine from right to left side then goes downwards I have connected to the "vac" could someone verify if this is correct?

Here's the solenoid, the "out" hose is looped down and goes to the direction of the engine. The "vac" hose comes from the back of the engine and connects into a metal pipe which then goes downwards at the back left area of the engine. would this be the correct orientation? Thanks for any assistance

That just means the vent is open which is fine, vac is the vac source and out is what it controls

I did some research and the way I had it was throwing an engine malfunction light so I switched them back and all is well. Normal smooth boost and no buzzing noise. Also removed and cleaned the sponge filters within the solenoids. I looked up the routing and saw some pictures of the solenoids on the same engine and I did have them wrong before. Fixed now. Thanks for your help

The sponge filters are just instead of the 3rd vent pipe, some do it that way. Nice you have it fixed
