Hi



Anyone have any ideas of how to access an old hard drive that only has firewire connection?


It's an old connection that Apple used to use back in the day - but laptops are no longer compatible with it.


Is there a way of hooking it up to a laptop using a modern usb connection?

If you use a Mac, just get a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. Modern Macs are still perfectly compatible with Firewire - the Thunderbolt spec includes backward compatibility.
