Can you ask the Gardai if there will be a prosecution/summons ?

    Can they find out if there will be a summons or a prosecution , not sure on the correct wording there

    You might end up reminding the Garda who has forgotten about it to issue a summons.

    I wouldn't enquire... As poster above said you may only remind them. They have 6 months to apply to Court for the summons. That time is nearly up
