Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What infections can you pick up if you have low white cell count?
If you avoid sick people, and anyone with colds and flu, dirty nappies, jacuzzis, you’re COVID vaccinated and you have had all the childhood diseases, what should you be worried about in Ireland?

Variety of reasons for low white cells, virus, bacteria, prescribed medication, cancer, arthritis, inflammatory disease etc you need to phone your bone marrow and ask but if you haven't got number perhaps GP will help.

Repeating blood test would give you better indication.

No, I don’t mean why a person would have low white blood cells. They know why .
But was wondering what infections they could pick up. He said he was told to be careful and not mix too much with people. Apart from picking up a cold or flu he can’t see what else he could catch. Unless there are subtle little infections that we all have that aren’t normally evident or dangerous.
