MOPD query?

Is the MOPD required for all new domestic installations now ? I seem to remember something about using SWA or the tails being shorter than 3M you didn't need it ?thanks

I looked this up in et101 it's all I have

MOPD unles the tails are shorter than 3m and mechanically protected

So that means MOPD for all cases pretty much where there's a cabinet
