    Hi folks,

    I've been out of the loop regarding news for a good few months now, but the last I heard was that essential workers were the only people allowed to apply for their tests (I could be getting this mixed up with the online option though!).

    Can I (a non-essential worker) book a theory test online for an in-person theory test at a center (assuming schedule availability)?

    Yes, you can book a theory test now - these are not limited to essential workers.
    Afterwards you might have to wait a while to start your driving lessons though, as only essential workers can take EDT lessons at the moment.

    My wife has been cancelled 4 if not 5 time now, the online version is so limited that it's completely booked out, good luck finding a spot for a centre too.

    I've seen people booked say Dublin then get cancelled and moved to say cork etc....

    It's absolutely ridiculous.

    She was booked in just as the 1st lockdown hit, last cancellation was for environmental reason at test centre.
