    Hi there

I'm on Revenue.ie and trying to go through the procedure to reclaim back my excess tax for the year 2020.

What steps should I take please?

I'm using the site via my phone

    Thanks.

You would want to request your statement of liability for 2020, this will show whether you have a tax liability or tax refund

This would available under review your tax for 2020

Make sure you have all your tax credits claimed (the paye credit, medical expenses / medical insurance credit, anything else you may be entitled to), my work payroll set me up wrong one year and I only noticed at the end of the six year limit for claiming it back. I hadn't noticed as it wasn't a huge amount just a few hundred euro.

the six year limit for claiming it back.

Just to correct this- it's a 4 year limit to sort out a tax year

    Hi there

I still haven't sorted out the issue.

Now an additional question. I received by email from the local dentist a pdf attachment of the receipts on what I spent in 2020.

Trying to get this pdf receipt on to Receipt Tracker for possible claim back. The receipt tracker only seems to function with images but not Pdf files.

    Any assistance please?

The pdf file has six different procedures over a four month period.

You can send the pdf as an attachment in MyEnquiries. Your receipts are just to back up the amount you enter on your tax return. Just to note only dental work on a completed MED 2 form from the dentist is allowable.

    Thanks. I'll try that next.

Think I got it right for my claim tax for 2020. Went into Statement of Liability.

Click on Yes for Ordinarily resident; and No for Domiciled in Ireland. I have been living in Ireland most my life.

Does it matter if I clicked No?
