Update on Carlow School Uniform Controversy

Good to see that the BOM backed their teachers and complained about the misrepresentation in the national media about the school assemblies concerning student uniforms.

Good. Hope there are severe consequences for the actions of those journalists involved and this also applies to hysterical and false reporting by a certain individual on radio.

Funny how this is a non-story, when the truth is vindicated. No keyboard warriors apologizing for saying the male staff were pedophiles .

Read an online article supportive of the school which had screenshots of what journalists , politicians , radio hosts etc were tweeting re the situation. Some were a total eye opener - total disregard for the male teachers character , reputations or livelihood. Totally abhorrent.

And if you throw enough muck, some sticks. People will remember the baseless accusations but ignore the corrections.

This is the reason why I would advise against going into teaching if you are male. Your entire career ruined with an accusation it doesn't matter if it is false or not.

Absolutely scandalous what those journalists did to that teacher. They should all apologise to him through the same media outlets they used to try and destroy his reputation with.

It wasn't just "one teacher" that was impacted by this. Every male teacher in the school came under attack.

Roisin Ingle who said the guards should have been called if a teacher was uncomfortable has yet to apologise.

That the male teachers were complaining the girls were wearing too tightly fitting leggings .(And they were told to stop wearing them )Seems now to have been 100% fabricated story which is scarey .
