Window regulators are common things to go across the entire VAG range. Not too bad a job if you're somewhat handy with tools, door card needs to come off, remove some electrical plugs, peel back water seal and you should have access to the regulator then. You'll have to support the window while removing the regulator/motor assembly.

Should be plenty tutorials on YouTube. If you're going to a garage for the work, shouldn't be more than 1hr labour, part itself is probably more expensive than the labour cost

While you at it, check that is not just switch failing, full of dirt/worn/corroded contacts

It could be the switch. They get wet from water coming in the window.
They’re simple enough to disassemble, and very simply constructed.
Usually the PCB will have corroded or have gunky deposits. You can clean it up with cotton buds but replacement is inevitable anyway. Switch is approx €50.
