    hi all,

    does anyone know of a good bmw specialist in waterford city or county?

    neighbouring counties either?

    i have a bmw 3 series with N47D20C engine and i want to have it accessed for worn timing chain and estimate for repair.

    Yeah I’ve used them for years they done a lot of work for me on an e46 and e39 I used to have they are two Lithuanian lads and they really know there stuff with BMW’s

    just a quick update i got quotes from the two above

    toda €1000 labour + full chain kit from bmw he said approx €700, didnt sound too enthusiastic about the job to be fair.

    bm guy said €1000 all in using full FAI chain.
    he said he is doing at least one a week.

    i contacted bmw for the crack to see what the difference will be nothing back from them yet tho

    i dont know any other places to get estimates from before i commit but bm gave me some confidence saying hes doing them regularly

    bmw main dealer just got back to me,
    they said normally €2700
    they can do €1800 with 2 year warranty she said there was no limit to the mileage.
