Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello.

What tube or part of the engine is this please? Looking to replace it. It looks easy enough to replace? 2 clip rings only?

    Thanks in advance

Its the rubber boot that forms part of the air intake into the inlet manifold.

If you have the VIN number for your car you can get its exact details in here:

    https://www.realoem.com/

I did a generic search for 1995 316i coupe and found the "rubber boot" here, item 4:
    https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BE12-EUR-01-1995-E36-BMW-316i&diagId=13_1711

BMW main dealers part likely, otherwise should be in breakers yards (www.findapart.ie). I replaced on a 6 cyl e36 (was torn) and as far as I remember its a very easy swap.
