If the car is not moving changing in and out of 5th is no problem.

Im wondering if the car is facing major gearbox issues and if i should start availing of the short warranty or is this normal for this type of car

Getting out of gear should be even easier than getting into gear. The symptom, combined with Hyundais reputation for decades of sh1te gearboxs would have me thinking the gearbox needs attention.
