    Last July Eir stared charging a fiver a month for users of their legacy @eircom.net email accounts, obviously they were hoping that 99.9% of users wouldn't pay and they could then shutdown the service due to very low usage but it seems people did pay so now they are increasing the price to a tenner a month

    You'd be surprised how many businesses are caught up in this by never setting up their own email service

    probably lots of commercial vehicles out there, headed paper, listings etc with an eircom address. hassle factor

    Thats just laziness......set up a gmail account and off you go....how hard is it?
