Asus rog zephyrus screen replacement

Hi folks.

My young fella dropped my laptop earlier and the screen has bitten the dust. It’s a sharp LQ156M1JW09 screen. 240hz 1080p 3ms lag screen. I’ve been checking around and it doesn’t seem to be something I can just pick up easily.

Is anyone in the know of anywhere in Ireland that can source this for me or can I replace it with a different screen. Something even better. It’s a 15.6 2019 rog zephyrus m rtx 2060 with a i9750h.

they are not the sort of things that places in Ireland would have in stock or even can get quickly

the only places ordering them would be small repair outfits really as far as I can think of

they seem to be readily available on aliexpress

but you have have to pay VAT and a collection fee (€10 or so) but may work out a lot cheaper still than elsewhere

you can look at paying for the faster postage options like ali premium shipping that's still affordable (vat paid on total price of shipping and product)

they probably would know what's possible in terms of using different screens

for gaming tho you may need a decent spec in terms of response time and maybe refresh so could be trickier if their main business is just doing non-gaming laptops
