    Hi all
Thinking of popping up to Dundalk for a few hours shopping. Never been there before. Is the train station near the town centre? Are things central? Are there many charity shops centrally located? Any other nice shops around? Have only about 3 hours unfortunately.
    Thanks

The train station is a bit of a walk from the town centre, you would be better going by bus, the Matthews bus has a stop at the Marshes shopping centre.

Sorry I don't know about charity shops

It’s a 7 minute walk from the train station to the first shopping street you meet (Park St). 11 minutes to The Square, which is the town centre. 5 minutes from The Square to Marshes Shopping Centre. The highest concentration of charity shops is probably at the Bridge St end of Clanbrassil St. there are a few on the main section of Clanbrassil St too.

Those walking times are if you are strolling.

    Thanks.
    Seems doable in the timeframe.

5 or 6 minutes walk from the train station to the Marshes via Vincent Ave and through Tesco.

    Charity shops aren't great.

The "New Hope" Charity shop @ front of the LongWalk shopping centre is great imo. Plenty in there to rummage through.

We'll have to differ on that. :)

That's one expensive charity shop though.

LOL - I'll give you that one(it is)Tad expensive alright but i've often bargained them down from the opening price to something that's reasonable. Still a busy place that seems to do well.
