I'd imagine that DPER advices will fall into line with the July 19th date given to the public at large, but no word on lifting associated restrictions as of yet.

For State employees looking to make provision to take a break abroad, it'd be helpful to have clarity ASAP.

The situation is evolving all the time unfortunately. The UK is doing a huge amount of back-tracking at the moment. And the Delta Variant appears to be becoming the dominant strain in many places.

Have you contacted your trade union?

I think it's currently just a question of waiting for the green light from government, rather than getting the union on the case.

That being said, if an embargo on travel were to remain in place solely for those in the public sector, it'd be a curious and deeply unpopular decision.
