Hi,
Just wondering has anyone gone down the route of applying for early retirement due to ill health in the HSE? I have over 20years service but unfortunately I have a rapidly progressing autoimmune disease and it's making my life hell. I would be really interested to see how long the process takes and really how difficult it is to secure. I'm only in my 40s and really can't afford to just resign but unfortunately work is becoming so difficult and long term sick leave is of no use to either myself or my employer.
