Hypoallergenic cat food

    Hi,
I’m wondering if anyone has any advice about hypoallergenic cat food.
My elderly father-in-law’s 12 year old cat has been put on it on the advice of the vet. The problem is that he is buying Royal Canin and it’s very expensive for a pensioner! I offered to order some for him on Zooplus, as it would be cheaper than getting it from the vet, but I just paid €32.99 for a 2.5 kg bag and it took a week to arrive, which is not ideal! (And he isn’t the greatest at measuring it out, so is likely to use it up quickly!)

So could anyone suggest a good, cheaper brand possibly? Readily available from a bricks and mortar store would be great (although the only local pet store is PetMania), but I am happy enough to order something online for him as I could order it in advance of him running out going forward.
    Thanks. 😊

My cat is really bad with food, we have tried numerous brands and found he's less likely to throw up after science plan or purina one sensitive, the latter being way cheaper (supermarkets often do specials and we get 3kg for 16e or a small bag of 850g for a fiver) so that's what he's been on for a few years now.

What's the issue the cat is having? Burns is hypoallergenic, you can find it in Pet Mania as well. https://www.petstop.ie/burns-original-cat-food-chicken-rice
