Learning carpentry

    I would like to start doing some small carpentry projects in the shed but have no experience if this. I would like to be able to produce small items, not frame the roof of a house.

    Can you recommend good self directed learning material?

    i did a introduction to wordwork coure wiht fas a couple of years ago. Few weeeks of an evening, Was excellent. Youtube otherwise. Learn how to make basic mortise and tenon & go from there.

    Good advice already provided. Have you a specific project in mind to start off with ?
    Appropriate tools obviously required also. I'm a big fan of The Restoration Couple on YouTube but there are loads.
