I would think so . I had navara fail because I put orange marking light on the side steps that was not working .tester say get them working or take them off

The light is a strip light with w3w push in bulbs as far as i can google them.
I know the w5 are standard for parking bulbs but i have not seen these before.
    Are they easy to get?

Should be no trouble getting one in the motor factors

Halfords do w3w, as do motor factors

How many LED bulbs are we talking about ?
Strange for them all to be blown. Usually with LED's there might be 1 or 2 blown

Unless you know that a couple were working and then failed maybe check if there is current actually going to the Light.

The light strip fitting is on a 2000 reg camper and has ,as far as i can tell w3w incandescent bulbs, not leds.
I have checked with a meter and there is power to the fitting.
I checked the light 2 weeks ago when i booked the test and the fitting was lighting up fine.
There are six bulbs in the fitting and some of them show rust.

BUT,would they be wired in series,so if one bulb goes, they all won't work.??

Sorry, I just figured that we were talking about LEDs.
It should be a parallel set-up, for the very reason that you mention.
They may well all be blown. or it might just be a small build up of corrosion on the contacts.
If you can get at the bulbs while the Brake light is still connected try wiggling each bulb a bit as somebody is pressing the Brake Pedal. Maybe try a bit of sandpaper on both the Bulb Contacts and the fitting beforehand.
BTW looking at the Halfords site they seem to sell the M/cycle pack of 2 bulbs for the same price as the Car pack with 1 bulb ???

And try unplugging and re-connecting the Connector to the Unit a few times to remove any corrosion.
edit; how sure are you that these are W3W bulbs ? They are normally used for Dash illumination.....
    Possibly W21W Bulbs

I have removed the fitting and stripped it down.
I have damaged some of the bulb wires removing them
I will go and get bulbs tomorrow and report back.
DOE is wednesday, so had panicekd a bit
    Thanks for all the help
