MK7 Transit timing cover leak.

    2012 MK7 Transit 2.2 xlwb jumbo.
Van has been off the road for 12 months as I was building a conversion to a campervan but has been regularly moved around the yard etc. The engine bay at the sump was a bit grimy from oil and dirt. I took the van for its annual test today and it failed for some standard bushings etc....

In preparation I took the van for a drive around for an hour to clean up the brakes and so on. The van was at the bottom of the indicator on the dipstick so I put two litres of oil in. When I was taking off for the first trip there was a bit of blue smoke out the back but the engine was cold and it cleared out afterwards.

However, on the back of the passenger side wishbone there was fresh oil which seemed odd given it didn't look like it came from anywhere above it and it didn't come from in front of it and splatter back, and there were noticeable drops on the ground from under the sump. Given all the crud that was there it wasn't obvious where the oil was coming from so i de-greased all the area and washed it down to see where it was coming from.

This van isn't known for leaking oil, and there's certainly no evidence of it on the ground around where it's been moved for the last 12 months.

I took it for a run today, as you can see, this circular thing on the timing chain cover is what's leaking oil.

Is this a fitting that can be screwed out of the cover and sealed with instant gasket, or how would I repair it?

    Any help appreciated.
