Sorry if I am in the wrong thread.
And probably a really stupid question but here goes.
Do different laptops have different wifi Receivers/adapters.
And if so can you tell which laptop has the best one.

    most have intel models

you can replace the card in most cases

reviews don't focus on testing this extensively - all work fine with a reasonable signal

wifi 6 is the newest standard for fastest throughput and will come with new laptops but requires a recent wifi 6 router

a wifi card in a laptop will not make up for a weak / crap wifi signal coming from a router that's too far away or coming through thick walls

powerline adapators are not a bad soultion to fix that

Glasso Thank you very much for your reply. exactly what i was looking for.
I have two laptops and one works fine and the other keeps stopping mid video. So its not the signal.
    Thanks again

Reinstall the recommended network drivers from the laptop manufacturers website. Might not be anything wrong with it, might just need the correct drivers.

if there is a problem after trying out the usual unistall and reinstall drivers a cheap solution could be, at the sacrifice of one usb port a usb wifi adapter
