Issues tuning in a LG 55" Telly

Have tuned in

Rte 1,
Rte 1 +1
Rte 2 +1
Virgin Media 3
Saorview Info
Rte Junior
Radio Nova

Can’t seem to tune Rte 2, TG4 or Virgin Media any advice?

I did auto tune with antenna

You're picking up mux 2, but not mux 1. Saorview broadcasts on 2 multiplexes, with the channels split between the 2. I suspect that your aerial needs adjusting?

Thank you. I have a sat dish externally and ears internally.

Internal ears might not be enough. Where are you based, roughly? Are you pointing at the appropriate transmitter?

Once again rabbits ears are VHF aerials for FM and DAB radio. Not suitable for UHF TV. Get a TV aerial, preferably external.

People refer to internal aerials as rabbit ears. It's common, even if they're not actually the old style ones. No need to comment this on every bloody thread.

Internal aerials may work, depending on where you are relative to the mast. I had one of the small argos one for all ones, it only sort of picked up channels. I got a better internal aerial and have rock solid connection. I'm in Cork City, so quite close to mast.

"Rabbits Ears" is a generic term almost everyone understands, just like a vacuum cleaner is referred to as a hoover or a 4WD as a jeep.

I agree that using incorrect terms can be really confusing, and lead people who are new to such things to absorb incorrect information.
There should be some less disturbing method than the present one of repeating the information in multiple threads ...... but I do not know what that might be, except to leave people in ignorance, as most do not read all posts here.

BTW, I would only consider one of these two aerials to be 'rabbit ears', yet both are internal aerials.

Only in the Irish Republic. The term is not used in the UK, nor have I heard the term in other English speaking countries.

As I understand it it refers to a V shaped VHF aerial. UHF internal aerials are not "rabbits ears".
