This is an offshoot if a tyre discussion in a different thread. I sometimes refurbish and sell road bikes and always like to replace the tyres before sale so new owner doesn’t have to. Therefore I look for the best value tyre at the time. It’s often Vittoria Zaffiro or Schwalbe Lugano or similar. But I’ve gotten good deals…

I sometimes refurbish and sell road bikes and always like to replace the tyres before sale so new owner doesn’t have to.

Therefore I look for the best value tyre at the time. It’s often Vittoria Zaffiro or Schwalbe Lugano or similar. But I’ve gotten good deals on Contis and other brands too. Recently Zaffiros were €7 on CRC.

I also ride a lot and generally have Conti GP5000s on my own rims.
