Replacement lighter socket

    Need to replace the lighter socket on a 08 Nissan Primera. I have little or no car knowledge. Would any universal unit on Amazon do?

    Is it the fitting, the wiring or just a fuse? Probably worth your while ask an auto electrician/ mechanic to check it if you have no clue as to the issue.

    Phone and Sat Nav get nothing from the socket. When I push down the cigarette lighter it warms but doesn't pop. Have to lift out the unit and push it up from the bottom.
