Driver's side window switch replacement

Hey all

The driver side window on my car goes down but not back up again unless I use the keys, so I reckon it is probably a problem with the switch on the car door. Car is a 2011 VW Passat and all other windows work fine with that same switch.

I’m trying to keep things cheap but get a reliable replacement part and found the following online.

However the only issue I have is putting the new one in Does anybody know if it’s difficult to switch out a part like that? Or is worth just getting a mechanic to do it?

Also I am presuming that if the part doesn’t fix the problem I can return it?

Usually electric stuff is non returnable, so probably no.

Thanks had a feeling that could be the case.

Is there any other way of knowing if the problem with the window is the definitely the switch. I was thinking I could try hooking up one of the switches from the other doors but they are all single switches so probably not compatible
