Best quick growing seed for lawn this time of year

Had to fix up a few patches in the lawn and have put topsoil down and leveled it up with garden. Now looking to put some grass seed down that can grow quickly this time of year with proper care. Any suggestions of what to get and best way of getting grass to grow back in this season.. Cheers

The likes of Woodies/Homebase, or your local garden centre etc usually stock grass seed thats branded as 'fast growing'.

Not sure how true this is, but maybe worth a punt?
