New bike for commute and the best place to buy a bike online?

I know this year is probably one of the worst for trying to buy anything new but I have just begun a new job someone looking to replace my old hybrid with something newer and more comfortable. The roads I ride on aren't the smoothest so I was thinking about either a a 27.5 or 29 rim and disk brakes another nice to have…

Seems like an ok deal the only thing is I would like hydraulic disc brakes.

I have a single speed Vitus Dee from a few years back - great bike.
I used to commute cross-city on it with slick tyres.
Now I use it on gravel and bog roads as I no longer live in the city.
