Apple delivery timeframes?

    Got an email this morning saying that Apple have shipped my product today (4th June), but it won’t be delivered to me in Ireland until 15th June?

    Are these dates usually accurate? It seems an extraordinary long period of time to complete the delivery.

    Some items ship straight from China, particularly customised stuff

    For instance, if you order a stock Mac Mini, the delivery date is currently 9th of June. They have those in stock in a European warehouse, so it can get here in a few days.

    However, if you trick the MacMini out with extra storage, RAM etc., then it has it be assembled in the factory for you. So that takes time and it then has to ship from Asia. So the arrival date slips out to June 16-18.

    Thanks for that. It’s an Apple Watch I’ve ordered and nothing out of the ordinary. I see from the DHL shipment tracking that it appears to be coming from Eindhoven... can’t see that taking another 11 days!

    No, anything I've ever got from them from the depot in Eindhoven has certainly come quicker than that.

    Package just arrived.

    DHL tracking and texts were excellent. Really good service.
