I am heading up the country to see my family - not seem 'em since last August!!! I cannot wait! :D:D:D I will have to be prised off my folks - hugs to be had of gigantic proportions (they and I are fully vaccinated.. in any event, please lets not turn this into a covid thread).
Meeting up with some extended family and friends too - cannot wait.. I feel like its Christmas.

So what are you all up to?

Marking the start of my 3 month holiday with a spin to Bunratty.

If it can’t be a COVID thread, might as well be a teacher bashing thread! Nice weather for it.

Weekend in Belfast followed by local pints at home on Monday!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,010 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

    Saturday haircut...badly needed
Sunday...Going to a french bulldog meet up. Basically just let them go a bit mad and they are wrecked for the day.
I am then heading for a couple of takeaway pints on Sunday.
Monday a quiet place 2 in the odeon point village, cannot wait.

Trip to Belfast next weekend, nice hotel, dinner and lunches booked, then home to see my folks in the north...I have seen them once in about 16 months so that will be nice!

As it's a bank holiday weekend, I'm going to sleep in my local AIB tonight, move on to Bank of Ireland tomorrow night, then we have a little treat of a night in Ulster Bank on Sunday - could be our last chance there. Monday I'll do a tour of the ATMs, then back to work in Permanent TSB on Tuesday.

Good idea to do it this year. One of these years all the branches will be closed for good, replaced by cashless robotic overlords and the owner of every bank sunning himself in the Bahamas, never having to do a day's work again

As the CEO of Permanent TSB, that's certainly the dream. But even with robots, there's always someone calling you with issues.

I'd be more worried about bottles to be honest. All our draught suppliers took back any kegs we had but Heineken are refusing to take back bottled beers.

You must not have opened so during last summer as no supplies took back kegs with the later lockdowns.

Right now I have had one glass of wine and two pints of coors. My head feels funny enough to spend an unnecessary amount on a bespoke 'hair vine'. What have I become. Indian food on the way so that should sort me out.

BBQ at the in-laws on Sunday. There will be an extremely boisterous dog present so I'll be wearing me auld rags. Hopefully an actual pub will be visited on Monday. Then back to the grind on Tuesday.

Round of golf this afternoon, swung by a friend's house after. Several games of chess and a rake of cans. Some way to go yet before winding down. Can report no finger waggers crawling out of the sewer, weekend holding great promise with Monday looking like the clincher...have every intention of sinking pint after pint without a care in the world. Life is good my friends.

Your words are a balm to my eyes Bertie. I do love reading about peoples happy plans as we emerge from this madness. Enjoy my friend :)

Have to spend a few hours working tomorrow. After that, eating out, few drinks, watch a few movies. All round relaxation.

I'm heading off in my campervan!

Sing Ho, for the open road, etc. Co. Cork, possibly.

    Ugh, a USED fleshlight?

Some things should never be second-hand - I believe in reducing waste, but there are limits - and sex toys are on that list.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,085 ✭✭✭sporina

OMG I am greeeen with envy - its my ultimate dream to have a campervan! I think I am meant to live in one! I adore the outdoors, travel and exploration. Enjoy! I would absolutely get one if I had somewhere to park it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,816 ✭✭✭Day Lewin

I'd wanted one all my life; and when I finally got my van, it's the best toy I've ever played with. Follow your dream!
