    Hi all,

Recently had my willis heater replaced, it was wired off the old immersion switch, while having it replaced
I got a timer and fused switch put in, the timer is set to come on at 8pm for 1 hour, came home this eve at 9, no hot water? Same last night,so I hit the boost button and showered last night but it ran cold by the end of my shower, tonight I hit the boost button again, 10 minutes later the tap in the bathroom would scald you and I though great, half hour later went to shower, no hot water , just after hitting boost again 10 minutes ago and scalding again, my knowledge of plumbing would be scarse anyone know where I could be loosing the water to?

It sounds like it's wired wrong. I'd move your post to the Electrical thread and some of the Electricians might be able to sort you out.

If you competent enough, Switch the power off at the Fuse Board open the switch covers and take a few photos before you post. This might help the lads identify your problem quicker.

Thanks for the reply sky6, I'm off today and had a bit of a poke around, the heater is working fine by the looks of it, water travelling out the top pipe hot to touch, but it meets a T joint, tank on the left and on the right pipework going upstairs, the hot water seems to be going upstairs as those pipes are hot but the feed on the left to the tank on top is cold, would it be a blockage? The left pipe is sloped slightly down twords the tank so I would of imagined the water should take path of least resistance?
