Livescores are going to show all 137 Champions League matches on their app for the next 3 years for Irish users.
There will be a cast option so you can watch it on TV, RTE will also have a Tuesday night game.
No idea what the quality will be like but if it's anything like what La Liga matches were, it will be fine.
Might be of some use when renewing BT Sub over coming months.

great it is still free to air though Id worry that my ropey internet at peak times wont be able to handle it.

Do Livescore have pre and post game studio analysis or do they just show the game only? Will they run highlights shows with all the nights goals afterwards?

    Taken from the link above

'In addition to live-streamed match coverage, the latest successful rights acquisition by LiveScore in partnership with SARAN Media Group provides significant additional content including match highlights, as well as further on-demand content. '

on the last word, they said that there would be no pre, half-time or post game analysis.

what there will be is loads of ads, particularly for betting

yeah I was assuming betting ads would feature heavily. No pre or post match is a killer though, its kind of part of the match day experience and it will feel empty without it, especially pre game.

I guess with this news Tommy Martin, Brian Kerr et al are basically out of a job as well. Will miss Kerr on commentary, he is always good for a laugh

No pre, during, or post match rubbish is a bonus tbh. I watch football for the football not to think what some lad like Garth Crooks or Paul Merson think of the game.
