Christmas in Japan?

    Good idea?
I’m thinking of booking a holiday to Japan for just 2 weeks in the end of Dec.
Hoping covid will have calmed down by then, well after the Olympics, if they happen.
I have to take leave from work.
Cold/bad weather doesn’t really bother me.
I know Christmas isn’t a holiday over there.
    Any thoughts?

I m not sure if Japan will open for tourism at all this year. I was planning to go over Christmas in 2019 but I had to cancel it. I was thinking of a week in Nagano so I could try snowboarding and a week in Tokyo. Tokyo first in case I injured something while snowboarding.

I'm planning to go again in May if things open up by then.
