So i split my maxis 2.4" tyre on the rear a month back and just got a Vittoria basic thing meanwhile but its threads in the centre are wearing badly already so i reckon i need something better.

I got MRI results recently and i have a bit of a back issue that i never notice on the bike at all but i might be of trails for a while, i only do forest trails anyway since my big off last October.

Im wondering now since im mostly riding on roads and some canals towpaths is there a tyre more suited for this?
Maybe less grippy and better rolling but also decent wearing or maybe a thinner profile too?

No recommendations, but reviews on sites can be helpful, maybe increase your pressure also to near max, might reduce wear

Maxxis ikon 2.2" might be a decent shout. More of an xc type tyre but light and fast rolling tread.

So i had 2x Maxxis Ardent Skinwall tyres in my basket as well as a single Maxxis ikon , deleted the Ardents from basket refreshed to make sure they were removed , bought what i thought was the single Ikon but somehow it ordered all three.
Got onto support to cancel but they refused to cancel and was told.

"I’m sorry I was unable to get your order cancelled at this late stage as your order has gone too far in the dispatch process.

If you decide you still do not want the order, you can return any item in it when received, simply send it back to us with a copy of our returns form"

When i asked why not the response was

"We only have a 5min window after the order is placed to amend or cancel"

Now i have to send it back when delivered and i have to pay shipping.
Meanwhile 6 hours on its still in processing status, what an absolute joke.

Im wondering now if i just keep them and see what rolling will be like in roads, beautiful looking tyres to be fair.
