Hildegaarde Naughton (however you spell it), her father must have been the Minister for Pretentious Names.

The name Josepha, it really makes you think her dad was desperate for a male heir and was devastated that it didn't happen that time around.

    Aindrias (Moynihan)

    Ossian (Smyth)

No surprise that they're all from the yuppy parties.

Well it beats every second TD being named John or Michael.

They should have their names taken off them and be given license numbers instead.

This could be rolled out very quickly, building on the knowledge gained from implementing the license plate system for cars, using letters as abbreviations for counties and using numbers to indicate a) the county and constituency b) the count number on which they were elected and c) the number of first preference votes they received.

According to the latest political research, this simple strategy for numbering politicians results: [CountyConsituency]- [Count Number] - [Number of 1st Prefs.]

E.G. A media report would look like something like this: "In an angry exchange today in Dail Eireann, WM3-6-1,001 accused CK1-9-3,265 of misleading the country on her department's response to the False Widow Crisis."
