...because hysterical levels of terror and fear over a virus with near 99% recovery rate, what possible industry could replace this sector?

This is basically then end of rural Ireland and the 'staycation' thing is just grasping for straw. The country has built an industry in tourism - along with its infrastructure - since nearly the foundation of the state can this be put to any other use?

Our climate, coupled with 70% still terrified of going to shops thanks to phenomenal levels of mind control and terror unleashed by the mainstream media and in particular RTE, in the last year, I can't see it ever coming back. It took almost a century to get it to the level is was and now it is all gone. Permanently I would wager.

The scary thing is I can't see anything to replace the tourism sector with.
