HAP Scheme limited to one county?

    Hey all, quick question concerning HAP Scheme I can't seem to find answered online. I'm currently looking for a place to rent with HAP, and am I correct in saying I am limited only to my county's properties? Is it possible to rent in even the surrounding counties? As it is quite limiting to be stuck to just the one. Even properties that just fall outside the county by a few km, I can't apply for? Or do I have it all wrong? Thanks a mil

    You apply for HAP from the local authority of the county you are seeking housing in. You have to have a good reason for looking in that county if you live elsewhere
