Travel requirements to Spain

Hi,
I am due to be in spain from 11th June for essential purposes but I am confused whether I need to have a PCR test. I am fully vaxxed but only have my vaccine card as proof. Do I need a PCR test to Even get through Dublin airport on the way out?
I thought Spain had waived all PCR tests for EU countries but the DFA advice is still showing a test is needed.

Hi Mary,

As far as I'm aware being vaccinated exempts you from needing any PCR test or Antigen test. Bear in mind that travel requirements are subject to change

You need to talk to the Spanish authorities, not the Irish ones. The Spanish Embassy would b a start.

Note that non-Schengen citizens need to pre-register before travelling to Spain anyway.

A Spanish government minister announced yesterday that vaccinated EU citizens would not require a PCR test to enter the country from June 7th. But that information hasn't been added to any of the official websites yet.

According to the citizens’ information website (link below, page was updated yesterday May 28th), Ireland will adopt the EU Digital COVID Certificate to facilitate travel within the EU and EEA on July 19th.

Which I take to mean that no Irish authority will give you an internationally recognised ‘vaccine passport’ before then.

The Spanish (and Greeks) will be using their own system in advance of the rest of Europe. This means that they will accept other forms of proof of vaccination in the interim. As I said, they haven't given details yet.

The Spanish have adopted their own system of countries. The list is updated every two weeks and roughly followed the ecdc color map.

Ireland at present is on the list of pcr countries. This list expires on the 6th June and at present, Ireland is due to be removed from it. The new list will be announced tomorrow or Monday I believe.

No. "They will accept other forms of proof" doesn't mean "they will accept any other forms of proof".

For the third time, they haven't given the details yet. You'll get it eventually.
