Home of Kinahan gang boss Liam Byrne on market for €400,000 after CAB seizure.

Property has garage containing a gym and spa room, with an outhouse in the back garden fitted out as a games room with a bar

Would you buy a criminal's previous palatial home if you liked it and could afford the asking price?

I wouldn't live or sleep in a house no matter how nice, with such a provenance.

I also wouldn't buy or live in a repossessed house or one from which tenants had been evicted or one used for criminal purposes.

I would feel happier knowing nothing of previous owners rather than knowing about a dodgy history or undesirable owners/tenants. People will have different opinions though, I'm sure.

The horrible, tacky $hithole is already being discussed on the "Who'd live in a house like this? Part 2" thread. (see from post #4427 onwards).

It's rather militarised outside, you would certainly wonder why it came to sale...

Would it not be better for the government to turn it in to some sort of a Museum or tourist attraction?

Just turn it into a grim sweaty sock smelling kip of a nightclub. All the work is already done.

Few well connected neighbours that would put me of it at 25k,doubt if they would be coming around with a welcome to the neighborhood cake.

Did they do the wallpapering themselves to save money? If I was doing work for them I'd make sure it was perfect. The attic conversion, the wallpaper in the kitchen where it meets the skirting boards, the gym are all brutal finishes.

Liking tacky is one thing but at least get a decent finish.

On a more positive note, there must be hidden money in the stairs or garden.

I wonder would it be like that episode of The Simpsons when Homer bought Snakes car at a police auction and Snake tried to kill Homer?
