Reason for being given 1 week's notice from HAP inspector to check my residence

So I'm on HAP payment at the moment and I've been given one weeks notice from an inspector who called me a couple of days ago to inspect my residence.

I'm just curious to know what is the reasoning for giving such short notice of an inspection? Giving one week's notice seems to be standard in regards to HAP property inspections.

I am not too sure as to why they would give such a short notice but you have nothing to worry about. All they are going to check is weather the house complies with their regulations and they will do up a report and sent it to your landlord should any repairs, additional things be necessary.
