What flies are working?

Thought it might be interesting to see what flies are working where and when for people. It might help others select before a session.

Here this week (North East River for Brown Trout) there have been few hatches on the river this season and nymphing has been the better option.

In the past week the ever reliable pheasant tail has given way to dark green olive nymphs and (although usually earlier in the season) a hawthorn fly nymph has produced decent catches.

    What's working for anybody else?

Do Hawthornes have a larvae stage?

No, apologies for the clumsy wording I fish them with a nymph dropper. They're a terrestrial fly.
