Hi I'm not sure where to ask this but I need a letter from a GP in order to get a pps number.
I asked an online GP as I am not able to sign up to any surgeries yet and they said they didn't know what this letter was or what it needed to say and told me to email the application site to ask and let the GP know, I've not heard back and wanted to know what is needed for this letter

Who told you you need a GP's letter? Link?

I believe that people (who have come into Ireland) are no longer issued with a PPS number unless they can prove the reason they need. I'm not sure why your letter has to come from a GP, but if you specifically need a PPSN to sign up for surgeries then showing this as the reason would be proof. If there's a form to be completed then fill it out apart from the PPSN section, if not then a simple statement from a doctor saying you need it to sign up for surgeries should suffice
