Check light showing on my daughters car. Code tester shows P0141.

P0141 is the OBD-II generic code indicating the Engine Control Module (ECM) has tested the O2 sensor heater circuit and detects a problem with the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor heater circuit.

Is this an urgent problem or ok to drive while waiting for garage appointment?

Car is a 162 Dacia Sandero. It is under extended warranty until October. About 70000km.

If code error on dash shows red, don't drive, if orange it's a matter of getting checked asap.

Should be fine but if say was running on 3 cylinders when meant to be 4 it could damage the cat.....

Should be ok until you can get issue fixed.

When is the garage appointment? Tomorrow? Next week?

The light only came on tonight. So cannot book until tomorrow. So I don't know how long she will have to wait.

No problem driving it, you could reasonably drive forever with that fault - only for that fact that another issue could develop at a later stage but the engine light can't warn you because it's already illuminated for the heater circuit in the oxygen sensor....

Thanks. I drove it for an hour this morning, the warning light is no longer on.

On a different note, I was surprised to notice it has no temp gauge.

Engine temperature or ambient temperature? AFAIK, Dacia's have neither. If engine temp runs high, a light comes on

For ambient temperature, stick arm out window

Maybe because you drove it a bit harder then the other.....

My Octavia use to throw the light on if my dad drove it, I'd drive and it would clear
