An Irish KEXP?

Would be amazing to have a station of the calibre of KEXP here. Nova is ok but hardly groundbreaking. In case you don't know they are a Seattle based station playing a lot of Indie and alternative music.

Their youtube contributions are great and they encourage up and coming bands/musicians. They were a major factor in giving our own Fontaines DC a leg up.

Its a good channel that I'll watch occassionally if something catches my eye (Idles, Chelsea Wolfe, Girl Band etc)
Would be great to see something similar here.

Experience apparently. Many of the call signs are randomly assigned by the FCC but not always.

I get the impression that certain users on this forum expect Nova to be something that it wasn't intended to be. Indie/alternative was Phantom/TXFM's remit. But on the flip side, it's not exactly a classic rock station either.

Exactly right. There's a few exceptions to the rule, notably KDKA in Pittsburgh. No joke, a radio station in eastern Kentucky went on air as W A N K for about 3 or 4 days before renaming as WANV!
