It'd be great to have some feedback from working/retired members on what it's like working within the varied specialist branches of AGS.

    Serious Crime Review Team
    Operational Support Services
    Special Tactics & Operations Command
    Technical Bureau
    Immigration(GNIB)
    Criminal Assets Bureau
    Garda National Economic Crime Bureau
Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation
Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNCCB)
Garda National Protective Services Bureau (GNPSB)
    Garda National Vetting Bureau (GNVB)

    - What is your day-to-day like?
    - Is your unit team-orientated?
    - Is your unit productive?
    - What skills/education does your unit value?
    - Are there decent opportunities surrounding your unit? How competitive is it to be promoted into/within your unit?
    - Is your unit likely to grow or diminish in the future?

I'm particularly interested in learning more about the Environmental & Waste Crime Investigation Unit within the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau. I have to say, it sounds like a dream job for me. How does this unit liaise with NPWS? How effective is this unit with a massive cohort of AGS linked to farming families in the present day? Is there anticipation of growth as we get more heavy handed in upholding environmental legislation?
